Fox longbow

Help  me got the bug again and was looking at Ron fox triple crown longbow. Any body shoot one.  Like the riser and grip. Plus it's d shape when strung.

Ron King and his wife Debby are first rate and build absolutely beautiful bows. I sold my TC recently because the weight had gotten too much for these old shoulders. If you decide to buy one you won't be disappointed.

I love my TC after I modified the grip to a low wrist. I'm a locator grip kind of person, and almost sold my TC because I just couldn't get use to the grip. I ended up taking a sander to it and making a low wrist out of it myself.

If you decide to order one, I would recommend taking a carful look at the stock grip that usually comes with the Triple Crown. It's a high wrist with a thumb rest.  

But the cast of this bow is phenomenal.

The Triple Crown IMHO is the finest purpose built competition longbow currently being offered on the world stage.  Shoots like a dream!  Not all like the recurve grip, but I for one understand what Ron was trying to achieve with this bow.  The 70" which I owned had the riser section length of a Olympic recurve and was so butter smooth and balanced in the hand.  I had the carbon model and at the light 40@28 pounds it was still a zipper.  Craftsmanship was absolutely world class.  If you use the search feature on Pow Wow and search 'triple crown' you'll see pics of the one I had.  Zebrawood riser, boo cores with carbon and stunning yew limbs.  Ron gets some really crazy pretty woods.  And you gotta love that D shape.

If I acquire another someday about 50@28 would make me keep it forever.

Fox bows are tops.  I used to own a Triple Crown -- fine bow, but I like the Royal Crown even better.  I currently own a Royal Crown and a Breed.

Going to get a new to me triple crown from tradgangers  Tom Cunningham.  64inch 50@28.  Coco bola and zebra riser . Zebra  limbs.  Tradgangers are the best. And thank you Tom .

It's a super bow, and I hate longbows.  A guy here had one, coco and bamboo limbs, I think.  Beautiful, great shooter (for people who like longbows).  I had two of the original Fox recurves before R. King was in the picture and thought they were as good as any bows I've owned, I was just younger and dumber and got them far heavier than I should have.  It is probably the bow I'd buy if I were ever to get a longbow.

The one I had was one of the all time prettiest and most well crafted bows I have ever laid hands on.  Alas 40# at my draw was not enough to make me keep it as I am foremost a hunter and not a competitive 3D or field archery shooter.

Man that's nice chuck. Can't  wait for my to come in. Looks like it very tolerant of arrow spine. I plan on using woods or gold tips. 50@28.

The triple crown is one that I haven't got my hands on yet but if they shoot anything like my royal it will be awesome.
I couldn't have asked for a better experience when it came to my first custom made bow . Ron is a gifted bowyer

I have a Royal, one of the nicest finest bows I have ever had. It is a 60" 55#@28". Kind of wish it were just a few pounds lighter as I age.
