rabbits are the one "extra" i can't resist. even when i'm deer hunting, any rabbit that shows is gonna get an arrow flung at it.

Wabbits like carrots, maybe deer don't. I don't so much, I can eat a few bites, but a whole plate full? Never.

Maybe the deer were just taking a vacation somewhere for a week.
They hit it HARD last night.

I like watching them come in and eat. Usually after the deer season me and my boy go and kill a few for a rabbit fry. We both love fried rabbit. Have you every noticed how a rabbit will all of a sudden spook and run off only to have a coyote come by a few seconds later? Its interesting to me how a rabbit can detect danger and run off. I can understand a hawk or something from the air where a rabbit can see but in low brush. How does he know? Thinks that keep me up at night

the rabbits might attracting the coyotes and here when the yotes are around the deer avoid them,, or the deer might associate the rabbit scent with predators that's a guess though.
