I actually pulled out my flemish jig this weekend and twisted up a few.   been a long time.

my widow is now way quieter now too.  new b50 string and fresh puff balls...its almost as quiet as my longbow.

Does "How to Build a Great Bowstring" spend much time on getting a consistent length string? I find that to be the biggest challenge in making flemish.

Steve, we show and recommend measuring everything, and doing it the same way every time.  It's like shooting a bow--consistency is the key.  Also like shooting a bow, there's no magic to it--just practice.

Thanks Fritz!

I got the video and it is well done - I think I have the fear of jumping in as all the amterial is right before me yet I have not tried to buidl one yet.  May be that Chad also sales the best strings out there and i just have him build mine  :)
Everything has a price - the more we accept, the more the cost

Thanks Dave!

Don't think I remembered to mention this also.  If you catch me at a shoot, I'll be happy to help you work through any problems you may be having--I'll try at least!

I'm easy to find...just look for the BCY banner.  We don't have anything scheduled for TX, but you never know.  If there's a big show and the dates fall right, we'll be there.
