Friend's armguard complete
« on: December 14, 2014, 08:40:00 PM »
He wanted a basic design with an arrowhead.  I mounted some chicago screw bases into the antlers to bolt them on for strap hooks.  I left the leather natural and wood burned the arrowhead art into the leather to match his spalted maple bow's colors.  The straps are just shock cord that can be trimmed to length to fit his bare arm perfectly and still allow it to be put over a coat sleeve with the stretch that's naturally there.  I asked if he wanted an inlaid compass and he said that it wasn't needed because he wanted to put one in his bow.  Lighting here is crummy, but it conveys the idea.  I hope he likes it...
