1st day winter bow
« on: January 04, 2015, 03:32:00 PM »
Well it wasn't the first day, but my first day out. Started out as a partly cloudy morning, with some partial moon light for hiking in.
Sat the morning for a few hours. Saw several deer off in the distance at least 100 yards away.
After the morning sit, my buddy, Deadsmple and I started taking the long way back stumping as we went along.

It started snowing several minutes after we started on our way. I love being out when the snow is falling.

I noticed this tree in the woods. From my angle, two separate limbs created this "ok" sign.

Hope the rest of you with late seasons have good luck, and happy new year to all.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Possum Head, I didn't shoot through the hole because we were in a "special area" at that moment that I only wanted to pass by and not stir things up. But, It would have been a great target!

Craig, glad it will be cold. It should be in Jan. also keeps the deer moving. It is big ol' Appalachian woods just like you have. Luv it!

Happy new year to you and Nate, Bob. We will have to stump together soon. Sincce the cancer is in remission, I have been a hunting maniac!

Joe, We haven't hunted winter bow together in severl years. That darn thing called work, always in the way of fun. But, we can't have fun with out the work either.

Love seeing those Big North Woods like Pike county. Spent many a summer and winter running around them as a younger man.
