Sounds like a great time in the woods!  Just seeing that timber makes me want to go for a hike with my bow.  Thanks for sharing your stumping and pictures with us!     :clapper:

Alex, let me get this straight, pretty wife who stumps with you, pretty bow, pretty 80acres to use...well life is pretty sweet! Thanks for taking us with you, I love these posts. You give Monkeyball some good competition!
Question, that was a '71 bear that you had tricked out? Looks simply great, love the idea of having a piece of history & spiffing it up! Never knew that could be done! A little bit of both old and new...

Hey Frank, ya we have it pretty good. We have been blessed beyond measure. It has been a rather hectic year for us, but these little outings really help us to see what is most important in life as it is easy to get bogged down in the everyday grind. Ya ole Monkeyball has some great photos as well, I really enjoyed his last post.

As for the bow, you hit the nail on the head. I bought it from fellow forum member Whip who had already rounded the tips. I figured since it is such a beautiful bow and it is my daily shooter she could use a touch up after 40+ years. I understand keeping some old bows in original condition, but this old girl was begging to be redone and used.

It looks like you had about as good of a day as it gets. I really like what you had done on your bow, it looks to be a real shooter.

Alex, very good post, opens up a world of possibilities for old bows which are sound and just need a little spa treatment! Keep doin what you and your Lady are doin and you will have a wonderful life.

Great post Alex. Really nice woods and some real nice photos.

Nothing beats stump shooting as far as I am concerned, lots of shooting and no cost.

It is really nice when you can take your wife along also, our season is over here on Saturday. I plan on getting some stump shooting in with my wife, she has a new Toelke Whip to get use to.

Keep on stumpin buddy!           Good Shooting,
