So far I've had no problems with duco and oil based poly. Making up a new batch of ash shafts this week with a new tube of duco, I'll see how that goes. I used watco first and will use wipe on poly after that dries up.

For a finish like Snag gets you would probably want to use Profin.

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Is Profin compatible with Testors paint?

Yes, Profin is an oil based Poly.....just a really good one!
I need to clarify my remarks above re Duco. My issues have only been with plastic nocks/Duco over poly. No issues whatsoever with Duco and Fletching.
