Kenny, great parting shot!! From the first hunt to the last of the season I love trying to figure out those wonderful whitetail. And they win the majority of the time. And I can't wait to go again. Hope to see you again this fall and "strategize" on how to get a shot at a big un.
Already got my weapon cut out. Now to sand the lams and glue up. Plan on hunting with a 62" bow. Inspired by guess who. Limbs are some of that spalted hack berry.

Thank you all!
I would love to hunt with every one of ya, but with near 43,000 members, I may not have time.... :D
So far, every TG member I've met, I'd share camp with!!
And David, are you building one of those like the one you sent me a sketch of? I have been thinkin of going down to 62" also....

Well Done Kenny!
I recently saw a documentary about the electro magnetic field our beating heart produces that can actually be picked up by other animals. Perhaps this is what the "6th sense" of a deer is picking up?
What ever it is it is truly amazing to me.

Great story. I ended up dry again this year. Passed on 2 fork-horns and a big doe who had two really young fawns with her. Those were my only opportunities this last season. I did the same thing you did, only I picked a bright yellow leaf against a snow covered sand bank. I thinks its like counting coups - a way to say "I could have had you if I wanted".

Roy, its just a 35/55 GT blem with real turk feathers and a Judo.
Ron, that is exactly what it was, coulda filled my 2nd buck tag, but wasn't gonna unless the bigger one came thru. Which he didn't!
:D
I almost got another final shot after bow season closed. Got a trail cam pic or 3 of a pretty kitty before season closed. So went and set up before daylite one fine 17* light wind morn.
Called the kitty to 40 yards and 3 yotes to 50 or 60. A fine, fine day...
