Black Widow Question
« on: January 22, 2015, 04:53:00 PM »
A young man has been shooting my Samick Journey as he is just getting into trad.  He sent me a few text pictures of a (Wilson Brothers)Black Widow 101 target bow he found in a pawn shop.  It is 68" long and in a weight he can handle.  Limbs look good and straight and the overall condition is very nice.

I know nothing about Black Widows, but this one is pretty.  Anything I should look at before he buys it?  Any guidelines on price?  Thanks guys!

Call the guys at BW and get their opinion.  I'm sure they will be happy to help--good people.

I've seen those for sale comfortably in the $250 range. I've never shot one but I've also never heard anyone say they weren't shooters.

Here's a good thread I remembered seeing not too long ago:  http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=139707;p=2
