Homemade back quiver questions???
«

I found plans here for making your own leather back quiver and have a couple questions. I've never used a back quiver and am worried about arrows clicking together when walking to and from my treestands. What do you do to keep this from happening? Line it with fur or something? The plans call for 4oz to 10oz leather, what oz leather would be best? Any other thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian

I have found that if you use a light enough leather it will bend around the curvature of your back and put pressure against the arrows. This will keep them still. I also like to line the top and bottom with lambswool or fur to further assist in this. Hope this helps. I think I have been using 6oz.

What snag says the worst thibng is a stiff leather back quiver, very noisy. You can also put in a couple of strings to seperrate some of the shafts that are excess, tie them down to keep them quiet.
