A 50# HH Wesley 522 gr. arrow @ 160fps. What do you think enough power for deer size game @ hunting distances?

My draw length Is 27" and the bow is 50#@27. I am new to this Longbow thing. I have been shooting Recurve and R/D hybrid "longbows" for years.

That is a great rig for deer. Plenty enough oomphie, yet 50# is relatively easy to control. That is what I would recommend to just about any newbie who asked.

Placement is the key along with a sharp broadhead. Can't go anywhere with deflated lungs or punctured heart.

I am in my 60s Now and my bow weight has dropped from 65+# to 50_55#.
