Meeting with fellow TGers
« on: February 04, 2015, 12:39:00 PM »
This morning while out shooting, my phone rang, and on the other end was Joe Lasch (Whip). He and Bill Kissner and their wives were close by, and we met over coffee prior to them taking off on an Arizona backcountry ride. We had an enjoyable meet over many things bowhunting related. It is great to meet some folks from TG that previously I only knew over their postings here. As to be expected, they seem to be great folks, and we all are down enjoying some Arizona sunshine as an escape from winter.
Maybe we can get together again and fling some arrows.

Yep...lots of great folks here, and lots of great friends made and friendships forged....lost of great hunting memories together for a lot of us.

Makes me really miss all the group hunts we use to do.  I haven't got much time at the moment to hunt due to spending a lot of time with my daughters busy schedules......but I can sure reminisce.

Yep this past fall I got to meet Cacciatore and his friend Gary. Cacciatore was looking for hunting opportunities in CO and WY. We met and had dinner at the Bunk House Bar and Grill, outside Cheyenne and had a great evening talking hunting, life, and family.

Ive been fortunate to literally meet 100+ TGers probably closer to 200 and I could count on 1 hand the fellas who weren't 100% great dudes. Lately Ive too been busy with my kids to travel much and I miss those group hunts too. Hopefully my boys will join me soon and we'll go wandering the country.

Absolutely I never once spoke with a fellow tradganger and he did not help me in some way with either a problem I had or just talking about traditional archery!...we are truly blessed to have such a close knit group of people! Thank you tradgang and to all the moderators and such that make this site awesome!  :clapper:  :clapper:

It sure was nice to meet you in person Pat.  Glad that spur of the moment phone call found you close by and that you were able to run down and join us.  Bill set up the ride for us but I didn't know where we were going until we got to Queen Valley.  And he didn't know you were staying so close to his place.  It's such a small world when it comes to trad shooters!

I've met so many people ams made so many great friends through this website it is hard to comprehend.  Sure glad I had a chance to add another to the list!

Dont think Ive met in person but after making and swapping bows on here have had some great comments and swaps. Think about these fine gents every time I see their bows.
