True North arrow finish?

Has anyone tried this finish using dipping method? What is your opinion of it and how many coats of clear do you use?

Have used it, I stain, dip, 3 times, crest, and 3-4 more dips. It holds up real well!
Thanks,
Tim

I guess if we run into the bear that is making these tracks, we oughta just get off the trail.......He seems to like it!

I experimented with an arrow finished with true north. The arrow had about three inches broken off the tip from an encounter with a rock.  Since the arrow was too short to salvage I shot it into a foam bale and left it outside over the winter.  The arrow looked as new good nine months later.  Good Stuff!
