Weather is odd! I live where we should be soaked in rain but, it is low 60's in temp and the sun is out. Folks are running around in shorts like it was summer or something!
Glad I'm not where you are though but, stay warm and shoot straight. TW

Saturday day was single digits with 30-40 mph winds and white-outs..ALL DAY. -22 + the breeze this morning, got above 0 today but -12 now. Guess if it bothered me too much I'd move.

I snow blowed a path to the target but that was it, to windy and wild out to shoot toady.

Nobody has said anything about winter kill in the deer herds out east and I'll bet its going to happen . We lost most of our herd in 2010 and it still hasn't recovered

Deer herds will really take it in the shorts with 2' of snow pak let alone 4-5' especially if the wolf is present.
Northern Mn. has been hit hard the last few winters, this one is rare in Mn.with little snow, but still below zero temps many days. Deer numbers have not rebounded from the 2011 2012 and 2013 seasons.
Still like to see snow though, go figure.

What is that cover on your bow?
Does it serve a purpose other than to knock down the glare?
Cool pic.

Tim Finley - I was thinking the same thing about eastern winter kill.... How many deer can survive in 6+ feet of snow in the Boston area... I understand they will yard up, and imagine some of the urban deer will make it due to snow plows and feeders, but most outside of towns are gonna be hurting...

Terry, the bow cover is an old wool shirt I cut for camo - exactly right, to cut the glare. I get a little paranoid about that.

-6 when I got to work, warmed up to 9 by noon.
Spent the day with 9 of my guys shoveling off our shop roof. 8 foot drift covered all roof top units.
I am a sorry sore sight right now.
