Removing screw in broadhead adaptors....Eclipse Broadheads
« on: February 16, 2015, 10:09:00 PM »
So I recently purchased a used bow and it came with almost two dozen Gold Tip arrows the vast majority of which had broadheads installed.

So what I have is I think 18 145 grain and 6 125 grain Eclipse broadheads with what I think is the screw in broadhead adaptor and I guess they're glued in as I can't get them out.  Since they're too light for my setup and the vast majority of them appear to be brand new I thought I'd see if I can get the adaptors out of them so I can list them for sale.  I tried boiling water...no dice.  Ideas??  Sell them as is hoping to find a buyer that can use them as is?

I used a torch to heat up the adapter for a few seconds, then they came right out.

Yup....that's working...thanks guys...wasn't sure that much heat would be ok.

Think I'll leave the inserts in in case the next owner can use them as is.
