A game warden wanted me to go to all bludgeon heads, claiming that they did tests and found that there was less wound loss.  Some swear by it, but for my 26" low 50 pound bows, I will always opt for cutting power and penetration over brute force. I shot two hard to catch chickens with htms, knocked the daylights out of one and barely affected the second with a direct hit. A steel blunt did put the chicken down with authority. The Bullhead does work, but that second one would be hard to get out of my back quiver and it is embarrassing how often that second arrow is the one that hits when the first one missed.

In the past I have used 175gr GrizzlyStik Masai Broadheads. I've used these for almost anything you can imagine and they work great.

Currently I'm setup with a DirtNap DRT 150gr double bevel. My friend said he loves them and I can get 6 for the price of 3 of the Masi.

I'm shooting a 51# Stalker Wolverine fxt, with a 500spine brass insert and 100gr backing.

The powwow section was great. I'm loving this forum everybody is super helpful.

Kill them with standard broadheads. I like to get them close and aim for the wing butt. Killed my share the past few seasons. Will be using a string tracker for the first time this year. That idea came from an earlier topic a few weeks ago. Good luck.
