Alright, here I sit in my driveway after driving 11 hours straight (would have been less if I had worn Astronaut underware). It's 5:30 in the morning and I'll just sit here so as not to,wake everyone up In the house.

I've been up the past 24 hours, walked just over 5 miles today thru some of the most beautiful whitetail country I have ever seen, and we did,the same the day before too.

The whole 11 hour drive, I thought out all my Hunting areas and how to improve the setups, AND I also ran all the past sits where I had been busted.  I'll be darned if Uncle Barry wasn't spot on as to why I was busted.  I'm sitting here in total amazement as to how much Knowledge he has accumulated over the years.

I do believe there are a couple spots open for the next 2 camps, BUT do not quote me, best to contact Barry to find out for sure.  From what ain gather, it looks like this just might be the last year the camps will be held.

Once my boys get up this morning, the 3 of us are headed to the woods to get a jumpstart on the upcoming season (Sleep is over overrated).    :biglaugh:

In parting, I'd like to personally thank Uncle Barry for sharing his experiences with all of us, and Susan for all the amazing meals.

Here is the "Godfather" himself...

Glad you got home safe Mike.  I thought about you guys everyday with envy    :p     UB emailed me two weeks ago to see if I could make it in any way because it was his last bootcamp.  I'm glad you had a great time.  I'll give you a buzz this week.

Holy smokes Mike. 11 hrs straight through is way more than I could have done.
Barry sure spilled his guts and let us in on every trick he uses to get the advantage on a deer. Everyone that came with me were talking on how we would be doing things different in the future. Many thanks to Barry and Susan for hosting this program.

Glad to hear that you made it home safe Mike. It sure was a good time! I Learned a bunch that I will be implementing as soon as I can. I have lots of things to tweak before hunting season this fall.

A "Big" thanks to Barry and Susan for putting on a great bootcamp. Glad I went!

Just a word of thanks to all involved. This was an outstanding group of whitetail fanatics. For those who didn't know, I was fighting a bronchial problem (not contagious) and ended up in the ER last Sunday. Drugs are a beautiful thing (but don't quote me on that) and the meds pulled me though the weekend.. barely. I ended up back in the clinic this AM where they re-adjusted the meds/dosages. I'm feeling somewhat better already.
Anyway, a sincere thank you for your patience. I truly hope each and every one of you kills the biggest buck of your life this fall. Stay tuned.

Susan fed us is like kings, but what I really filled up on was a huge portion of humble pie.  I've been hunting whitetails for a long time and to be honest thought I had it pretty will figured out and have enjoyed a fair amount of success.  Barry takes it to a whole new level though and really opened my eyes to what I have been missing.  The amount of detail and work that goes into each of his stand set ups is amazing!  He showed us over and over how seemingly minor changes in stand placement and approach can result in doubling or tripling opportunities on deer.

The first thing I did on Sunday morning upon returning home was to walk through my own hunting property with a whole new way of looking at it.  I've got work to do!!

Thanks so much Barry and Susan for a wonderful spend!
