Feather waterproof ?

Has anyone used camp dry spray or similar to waterproof feathers?

Jim I use NO SNOW....its made for the wheelie rests called whisker biscuits...it is also intended for feathers.
Works great. I missed the one over the pond shot at the muzzy low.....splash. Grabbed my arrow, shook it once and it was pretty much good to go.
Then I did some woodies to hunt with, and forgot em outside in a downpour....they still would have shot great Im sure.

Bohning used to make a brush on liquid silicon for feathers called "Dry Tite".  It is the same stuff that you can buy at a fly fishing shop that is used to brush on flies to keep them waterproof and floating.  Probably the same stuff that Jerry mentioned above.  

You can brush it on one side of each feather and it will soak through, just don't get it on the glue because I've been told it will dissolve it.

For the guys that have used Camp Dry, does it dissolve glue?

I have a bottle of that dry tite that i bought from a local shop he had a couple bottles on his rack. he told me to use it sparingly because they don't make it any more, i guess he was right. I tried it on one arrow if i like it I'm going to buy up what he has

If you ever try "No-Snow" you'll never try anything else. It's pricey but it works great and it lasts a very long time once applied. CK

I have used no snow and like it, I ran out and thought if something else that i could pick up local would work as good i would try it. I just tried that  dry tite, it goes on good i just hope it stops stinking before next Sat. that is our opener weather is supposed to cool I'm pumped!

I took someone's idea to try "Black Magic", that spray foam you apply to tires.  Just spray it on, let it dry, and it works too.  

BTW, that foofy berry smell alway goes away after it dries.
