CHEAP carbon or fiberglass arrows
«

so because I did something to my shoulder I just got a used 44# kimsha recurve which should be here Monday.
I think I might be pulling 41 or 42# @ 27" I may set the bow up with a SBD string and even though I am a big fan of wood arrows I want to match a set of carbon or fiberglass arrows to this bow..
I'm looking for a cheap set, very cheap maybe sold as kids arrows because I don't want load up the mass weight to weaken spine on these ones I want this arrow shooting as flat as possible so 400 to 450gr total.
I do have a lot of heritage 90's but they would be too stiff for this bow I'm very familiar with heritage shafts.
so what do you guys recommend?

Cheapest would be to use what you have and see what point weight it will take to make them shoot well with that bow. Then determine if they are flat enough for you - I suspect they will be, especially compared to buying new shafts.

That's what I was thinking, although I bought my daughter a beginner bow set, made by bear, I forget the model but it cam with a few arrows that are fiberglass. They shoot horribly, often hitting the target sideways, she shoots some of my old arrows instead. Only other glass arrows I see are for bowfishing.

1535 Gold tip blems. 7.6 grains per inch. Full length shaft, standard nock and insert with 125 g pt is about 387 g. and should fly pretty darn good.
we have then in stock. If you want it lighter, you can cut another 55+ g off by going with the gold tip ultralight entrada's but they cost a few bucks more.

solid fiberglass shafts are very inconsistent in spine not to mention heavy.

I have used the Gold Tip blems from Big Jim's for many years, I was getting them from Sipsey River before He retired and sold out to Big Jim. I am very satisfied with them. Helen buys Predator 2 700 and 800 spine arrows from Jim, they are also very nice.

Easton Aftermath shafts. Available in .500 spine and are a 9/32" diameter but use an insert and not the HIT or outserts required by Axis or GT Kinetics.
I like them as they are decent weight, and have a polished finish that makes them easier to pull from targets.

I have a similar problem and am thinking of buying some Aurel Mantis. These are spined at 750, weigh 11.5 gpi and are not solid.
Inner diam. 6.25mm (0.246″)
Outer diam. 7.87mm (0.310″)
I think they take GT trad inserts..But am not sure.
More information can be found here.
