LBR made a string for my Dads 1950 recurve.  Very helpful and easy to work with, particularly because I did not have an old string to go by. Very satisfied with the result.

Lots of great string makers on here. I use SBD strings from Pierre Lucas and they are top notch threads!

Spend a Saturday learning to make your own and you will never regret the time spent. You can have any string you want/need at any time. Its the first thing I learned to do in 1990 something, even before making my own arrows.

I find that a 12 strand B50 string is plenty thick enough in the string grooves while giving decent speed and it is always easier to make a string that does not require padding the loops...if you can find someone who will braid the loops you will be amazed at how short a time it takes a B50 string to settle in...I am not a stringmaker but I am lucky to have a friend who is about as good as it gets and that is how he makes a B50 string for me

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

I personally use Allen at 10 Ring Strings. I like that he does the tie on nocks included.

As noted, LBR at Champion receives high praises too. They're both sponsors so both support this site and the wealth of knowledge to get questions like this answered.
