1816 to GT 1535 equivalent? Need help please.

I have a "hybrid" bow (60" Striker Stinger) that shoots 1816's (29 5/8", 100 grain field point, with 3 4" parabolics) perfectly.

I have a dozen gold tip 1535 shafts on hand.

Can any of you help me figure what length, point weight, and fletching will get them flying as well as the 1816's?

If it matters, the bow is 45# @ 28" and I draw 27 3/4" and shoot split finger.

Any cedar spine suggestions appreciated as well.

I think it will come down to you. How you shoot, your release etc. You will have to decide what weight arrow you want to end up wih.

If you know how much the shaft weighs you can then see with your point weight if you need to add more. You may want to use a 50gr or 100gr insert.

It's not that hard just take one shaft and install your field point (and 50gr or 100gr insert) and go from there. I would use Bug Jim's hot melt as it works great and easy to use. You can cut your shafts from the nock end. Good luck and hope this helps.

Just want to know if the carbon will be comparable in flight with the aluminum.
