Anyone use this yet? I just tried it out & have not achieved an impressively sharp Magnus 2blade glue on head. Here is how I've done it. All corrective input is appreciated.
1- cover entire blade length w/ black sharpie.
2- remove factory grind w/ coarse files.
3- go down the line of diamond hones doing 15 strokes per side, using med/light pressure.
Can't get the hair to come off my arm(nair works better    ) I'm sure there is a learning curve. Thanks.

I have used the Xblock for 3 blade Snuffers, never tried a 2 blade on it...I did the Snuffers just as you describe, but had to strop them on a piece of leather, to get them to pop hair off me arm!

I have been a sharpening obsessd lunatic for many years. It has been my experience that Diamond stones cut aggresssively and are great for rapidly forming a bevel but, I have not found one extra fine diamond stone by any brand that can begin to compare with an Arkansas or India stone for the final polishing of an edge.

DMT just came out with an XX-fine stone that I've heard good things about but, it's like $80 or so. I think I'll stay with my $17 Hard Arkansas.

I don't know the stone size that the X block uses but, you might be able to get a small set of Arkansas stones to fit in it for the final "hair mowing" edge that we are all looking for. Like Fireman said- stropping on leather or cardboard will help too.

I've always been sharpening challenged and I tried the X-block this year on some Swicky Black Diamonds and Magnus IIs.  I found that I couldn't get the right pressure on the diamond hones either.  No matter how light the stroke, I always ended up taking the edge off.  Once I reformed the factory edge on the files I switched to a medium and fine Tru-Angle stones then a leather strop.  They didn't 'pop' hair off my arms but one of those Zwickys went right through an elk.

I also have used my knife sharpening "steel", for the finishing touch on 2 blades...it worked on these Grizzly's I'm using now!

I bought one this summer. Tried it and just couldn't get it to sharpen. I was useing 2 blade magnus. I was excited when I saw the product, but once I tried it, just couldn't get it to work for me. Maybe it was me, probably was, but I ended up returning it. To me, it didn't work as well as an accusharp on the 2 blades. I have settled on the accusharp and then stropping the heads on leather, Steve

Thanks for the input guys. I got an email from the x-block guys. There were very detailed instructions provided for me to follow. I'm gonna try it again. I'm gonna cheat w/ my new heads I taking them to our surgical sharpening service @ our hospital. That'll definitely
