Footing GT 15-35 shafts
« on: April 05, 2015, 11:12:00 AM »
Any folks footing the Gold Tip 15-35's?  If so what aluminum size shaft are you using? The 15-35's have an OD of .2945. I plan to sand the paint off before fitting the foot and this will give me a OD about .290.  Thanks, Brian.

I use 2117 on the trads 1535 and 3555 lately with BIG JIM'S stick glue. I also foot the nock end.

2117s are a nice slip fit if you use a thin epoxy. You will have to put the footing on before the insert, though, as the insert is just slightly flared at the front to make it easier pulling from a target.
