Question for Solana vets
« on: April 12, 2015, 07:32:00 AM »
I will be passing through Austin next week.  The time I was lucky enough to join the gang on a hunt there I did not get in early enough to visit the first night bbq.  I thought I might try to hit it this time, but don't know the name.  Anyone here able to help hook a guy up with some brisket?
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Are you asking about the BBQ in town?   It is Johnnys.  I ate there last month and it is good!!

I really liked Johnnys. Nothing close to that here.

I was talking about the BBQ place that the TGers that had arrived at the hotel the first night in Austin went to.  I know Austin has many fine BBQ establishments, but thought it would be fun to sample the food and atmosphere of the part of the trip i missed.  Of course the comradery and talk that was a part of the trip will be missing, but I think I would like to experience the place.

Sam I will let you know when we will be there.

Make sure that Terry Green see's your question. He'll tell you in a flash. Probably still has BBQ sauce from the place on one of his shirts. Ha! Ha!   :campfire:
