I Have to Stop Doing This
« on: October 07, 2007, 04:03:00 PM »
Well, my Gamemaster II destroyed another arrow.  Oh darn.  I had just added a Mini S-Coil stabilizer and bow sling and this happened...

I have another dozen arrows ready to fletch so I best get to them.  I am rather proud of myself though.

looks like you only lost the nock.  :)
“instinctive archery” is more like playing the violin. Without practice you may remember the mechanics, but you will not be a virtuoso.

No, flared the carbon a bit.  I may be able to foot it with aluminum but I may hang it on the wall.

Would you believe that was 40 yds.?  I thought so.  It was about 23 yds.

I hate to ruin good arrows but, if it has to happen, I can't think of a better way to do it.  :D

Great shooting.
Interesting target, homemade ? Would you mind sharing some details about that ?

The target is not home made.  It is a Block 36 inch target.  After the center was pretty well shot I cut the bands and put it back together by swapping the outside and inside halves.  Once the new bands were drawn tight it distorted a bit, and that was 1.5 years ago.  The center is really shot up now and I avoid shooting it there.  Pretty soon I will have to get a new target.  My wife wants one that is HGTV decorator approved; any suggestions?  I asked her what colors I should make my latest arrows and she said "something that matches the family room" so I did.

Man I'm getting tired of people pragging about robin hoods. LOL

Just joking. Congrats!!

Now I need to get one. I've busted a few knocks but never had one stick in the end like that.

I'd would hate to loose the arrow. But it would be cool.
