Took a stumpcation
« on: April 19, 2015, 09:22:00 PM »
I had a few days to myself so I loaded up the truck and went stumping and scouting on a parcel of public land I have been eyeballing. This are is mostly raw ozark hills with a lot of burned section and a large horse trail running through it about 5k acres in size. It was a wet weekend but we had fun none the less.

Lots of old oak and hickory stumps to be had.

As you can see some are quite charred

And naturally it wouldn't be right if I went out chasing stumps without my buddy.

We also manage to do some scouting as well found some promising spots.

And of course hanging around the fire with coffee going can't be beat.

It was a fun weekend enjoy!

Looks like a great area. Lots of new growth after a fire is great for atttracting the game.
