This weekend was the first time I have gotten to hunt this year and I had a great time. Saw so many deer I lost count, had lots of them in range. Drew on two but didn't release, neither shot felt right. I did manage to scare the daylights out of a turkey when I zipped one just over his back though.
Had a couple coons playing around under my tree this morning and had a hawk land on a branch about six feet away right after that. He sat there for about five minutes before he flew off. Saw some more turkeys just after that but the darn things wouldn't move into my shooting lane. Next weekend they had better watch out.
