Great thread Fistlight!  When I got into Trad I started shooting split finger.  I just thought that is how you were supposed to do it and I was in a bowhunting mindset not a field archery mindset.  Hey, I'm pretty sure the Indians shot split?    :archer:

Thanks Jack Hoyt, I'll for sure try the "correct" finger placement, as you described.

That does make more sense over what I'm doing.

Havent' got to the 3under tab yet, still using my Black widow, split tab which works well so far.  I did trim it down a lot.

Edit to add:
Just watched masters of barebow and some other vids and it looks to me the 3 under guys are all touching the arrow nock.
Maybe they don't have a 2nd nock underneath??
I need to look more into this.  Opinions welcome.

Thanks firstlight for your opinion, we'll see what happens come October.... If you looking for tabs I highly recommend the Fred Eichler cordovan tab they sell at 3rivers for 15.50, very nice tab and slick on the release takes a little breaking in though.
