Forgot to mention that it is graybarkhunter who is sending me the haversack. Big thanks to him for his generosity! Whitetail addict I am looking forward to using a man purse, they can't look any less stylish than a fanny pack!

  graybarkhunter. The generosity of the people here never ceases to amaze me. Makes me wish I could meet, and shake the hand of every one of you.

I intended to respond individually to you folks that posted pics of the ones you hand made, but I'll say here that they're all nice. Good work guys, I'd be proud to carry any of them. And no, that's not a hint lol, I have one.   ;)

I really like my Bison Gear haversack.  It zips securely, has nice number of pockets, and waterproof lining.  The bright interior color allows you to see much better the contents under low light.  Haversacks are much easier to access things from than fanny packs.
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

Frost River makes a bag called the Grand Maris Mail Bag pretty simple, lighter canvas, presently use one as my lunch bag for work, certainly could do for hunting duty...

I recently bought a Finish Gas Mask Bag from a company names Keep Shooting. Great Haversack style bag. Divided compartments inside. Flap closure front. Really nice piece of Army sup plus gear. Was like brand new. $12. including shipping! I used it for a day hike, Nagine bottle, ss cup, FAK, lunch, bag, mora knife, fire kit, folding saw, small poncho, extra stumping stuff - points, nocks, super glue, wax. Rides nicely on you hip. You can't go wrong.
