It's easier for me to quit when I'm shooting well. I shoot a nice amount, take it easy and have fun. Quit when I get some nice shots. Maybe 50 shots. And put everything back where it belongs. But when I'm not hitting…that is torture! I'll shoot till my damn arms fall off. I hate when I'm not shooting well. I can't quit. Many times I have gone back out at 11:00 pm before bed to try to figure out what the hell I'm doing wrong.  I have had days where I shot 4,5,6 hours.
Recently I have made some changes to my shot and it's been a lot more fun lately. Some evenings have been magic. I have shot better groups in the last week than I have is 3-4 years. I'm waiting for some gold tip .340s to arrive. My Trad only .340s are on the verge of too weak. The GT is about 30 grains heavier and hopefully just a tick stiffer. If this good shooting continues I think a 20 minute session each day would be great. With marathon shooting sessions on weekends.
