grain weight vs FOC

I know this is very technical but would an arrow of identical weight but with different FOC have the same trajectory? Just curious. For instance an aluminum arrow with a light point and a carbon arrow with a heavier point but total arrow weight is the same.

Just a guess but I believe they would be very similar. Gravity is what it is. However, if one arrow produces more drag than another, there could be some difference there. Let's hear from the engineers in the group.

Same if as Sam says drag is same. Gravity pulls the entire arrow at same rate of acceleration and does not accelerate the point faster.

To get really interesting the high foc arrow may stabilized quicker it would drop less at longer ranges since it would retain more speed.

I am not an engineer but did stay at a holiday inn express once.

What affects trajectory is velocity, not FOC. Assuming that both arrows weigh the same, stabilize in the same distance, and have equal drag, they should have identical velocities at all ranges and thus, the same trajectory.

Ashby has measured flatter trajectory with very high FOC arrows but when I say high,I mean 30% or more.At the degree of FOC that most people refer to and the normal distances we shoot,I don't think I could see a difference.
