DIY Tiny Target Aerial Archery Thower 2.0
« on: May 28, 2015, 01:29:00 PM »
You might remember this aerial archery thrower shown before in this post  Tiny Target Aerial Archery Thrower 1.0
and the build along at  http://www.inflightarchery.com/blogs/news/15731800-diy-tiny-target-aerial-archery-thrower-1-0

After that original sketchy trigger mechanism left my youngest son bleeding, I built this much improved trigger.

It locks up consistently and resets smoothly with one hand.  Follow the build along and tutorial at  Tiny Target Thrower 2.0

Awesome! Thanks for posting this! I've been looking for a way to build a target thrower for aerials.

I like shooting at coins lobbed across my target stack. It is very difficult to find and keep good coin tossers these days.  I like about a 12 foot lob with about a 5 foot high crest.  I tried one using a metal channel and a mechanical bow release.  My first attempts put a quarter on top of my neighbor's house.  My second attempt, my trigger release was not consistent and the coins were tossed anywhere from straight up to down into the dirt.  My wife said that a long hot wheel track with a jumping ramp like my son had, except higher and longer, would be more consistent and simpler.  I think she is on to something there, but I would have to switch to either hot wheel cars or marbles, golf balls can get too much deflection.
