Treestand Recommendation
« on: June 13, 2015, 11:45:00 AM »
Hey guys....I need to buy a few more treestands. I have 3 Chippewa Wedge Locks that I have used for years. Easy to hang, but not the most comfortable. I will probably buy 3 hang ons, and at least 1 ladder type. Looking for COMFORT.  Suggestions?

You can't beat Millennium for comfort, a little pricy though.

The millenniums are very comfortable and they have big platforms also.

I recently purchased a millenniums ladder for $200. Its very comfortable and just right for bowhunting. I left off the shooting rail so it wouldn't interfere with a bow limb. I couldn't imagine something more comfortable.

I haven't personally used a millennium, but have heard a lot of good things about them from those who have.  Big Game also make a comfy stand similar seat as the milleniums, I've sat in a buddys Big Game ladder stand and could have easily taken a nap it was that comfortable.
Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.

Roger,

I definitely can recommend Family Traditions Treestands to you. Made in southern MI and superbly built. You won't find a stronger or more comfortable stand made anywhere. You will find lighter weight ones though. I'm changing out from all my Asian aluminums to the FT stands. Thanks.

Kevin, I agree. I have had a few Millenniums and was less than impressed.  Bill

Comfort is NOT key.  I've learned the hard way that if I can't stand up and have the seat silently fold back up against the tree it is worthless.

X2 BAK.  I'll take a quiet setup any day before I have one that I can "sit all day long".

I'm a small guy, about 5'7" and I had trouble getting into the large platformed millennium due to where the cables attach.

A millennium also cost my buddy a 160"+ deer when the camera man shifted his weight and it made a noise.

Can't beat a cast stand.

  I agree with Denny. The newer "Boss" is just the ticket. Buy three or four brackets and use one stand.

Ameristep Outfitter. The most stable hang-on on the market, comfortable too. Get a set of aluminum Rapid Rails to go with it and you can climb any tree made !

I have tried a lot of them but really enjoy the Millennium 150's that I own. They are roomy, very comfortable and silent to fold up the seat using the built in bungees. Their cam system is very nice as well.

I Bought a Lone Wolf Alpha and a set of climbing stick this summer so I'll have more input on those after this season.

I have been hunting out of a Guidos Web for years and would never go back to a conventional stand-different but very comfortable and safe.

I'll stick with my Lone Wolfs. XOP, run by Andre's son Cody now offers a nice padded seat That will fit the older L.W.'s.

I have been using a Leverage Speed Ladder on my last few bear hunts. Collapses for transport and not too heavy.(aluminum). Nice ladder stand and easy to move around or haul.
