getting back into it

Hey guys
As my signature says all my trad bows were either stolen or sold in a moment of stupidity
Anyways I was shooting compounds for the last year and I just don't get the enjoyment I got from recurve and long bows. Anyways I happened to find a Kodiak magnum made roughly in the 60s for sale and bought it for 100 bucks. I know lighter is better but do you think it would be a problem to use this bow for getting back into it. I'm not a small pr weak person (6'2" 240 athletic build) I drew the bow back a few times and wasn't shaking at all.
Thanks

A great bow to start out with for small game, roving and stump shooting...even deer hunting. Find the right arrows, sharp broadheads and hit the woods.

That shouldn't be a huge problem if you've shot trad before. Lighter than 45 lbs will definitely help you get back into it a little easier and find your form quicker, but with an athletic body type you shouldn't have too much trouble! Have fun shooting again!

For some great refresher ideas on proper form I'd recommend some YouTube videos. Lots of good ones out there but I personally like the way Arne visualizes them.
And FWIW I think 45# would be just great for you. Love those old Bears too!

45 lbs is a good starting weight. You are in good shape.
