Senior moment
« on: June 29, 2015, 02:22:00 PM »
So I get this bow out that I haven't shot for a while .
Grabbed the arrows that it likes .
They are shooting like they are to heavy of spine .
So I grab a few different sizes and start shooting .
I had to drop down 10# in spine weight ????    :banghead:

You would think that a feller that has been shooting over 50 years would check the brace height .   :knothead:

If it just happens once, it's a Red Green moment.

Wait a minute , couldn't I just wrap some duct tape around the shaft to change the spine ?

Wrapping about a quarter inch of duct tape around the point end of your arrow will make a nice blunt and lower the spine. Duct tape does not work for holding tree steps to trees, you will need some Gorilla tape for that.

Sounds like something I'd do.

I've got one for you too. The Grandkids came up to do some shooting the other day, and when they left I couldn't find my glove. I looked all over for it, inside and out.

Long story short, I found it later when I went to get a soda out of the refrigerator. It was on the shelf next to the kids juice boxes. I must have set it down there when I made a juice run.

It's not just you.  :D

The other day I got some new strings Chad. When I went out to find the nocking point position and tie the nock on, I couldn't see it. Damn, no glasses.  I looked everywhere for them, I finally used a pair of old scratched reading glasses.  while I was waiting for the nail polish to dry on the nocking point, I went to the potty and I found my glasses when I looked in the mirror.  They were on top of my head the whole time, so excited I get when I get new bow strings.

As we age we begin to think more about the "hereafter", every time we get up and go into another room we stop and think; now what did I come in here-after?

This older couple went to the Dr.
He asked what they were there for .
They said that they had been arguing a lot because of forgetting things .
The Dr. Told them it was normal and to just write things down .
That evening the old boy was going to the kitchen .
His wife asked what he was doing .
He said " I'm gonna get some ice cream . "
She said " l would like some too please , with some strawberries , write that down . "
He said " I got that , don't need to write it down . "
She said " I'd like some whip cream as well , write that down . "
He said " No , I got it ! "
After about a half hour he comes back with bacon and eggs .
She says " What's this !? I told you to write it down . "
He says " What's wrong ? "
She says " Where the toast ? "
