My bow went potatoes
« on: October 10, 2007, 04:46:00 PM »
Hi All,

Some weeks ago I got a phone call from a guy who was interested in some arrows that I advertize on a Dutch auction site.
The guy asked if he could rent the arrows for a specific purpose. I asked for what purpose he needed them and he replied that he works for an advertising company that makes advertisements and posters for a big company (AGRICO) that exports potatoes. Last year they made commercial pictures and posters in a kind of traditional style and they want to continue that style.
I told him that I also have a bow to go with the arrows and he got interested in that combination. It went on a bit and we agreed that he would pick up the bow and arrows (for a fee) and see if his idea to make pictures of the potatoes using the “traditional” bow and arrows in the scenery would work out.

Well here you see the results of the bow, arrows and potatoes in a nice scenery.
The brand name of the potatoes in the picture is ARTEMIS, nice relationship isn't it?

BTW, the bow in the picture is my “Elauwit” that I posted some weeks ago.

So how fast does it launch a potato anyways?

I'd say that bow matches those SPUDS pretty darn good! Very nice bow by the way is it a hybrid longbow?

Bentpole,

Yes, it's a hybrid longbow. I have posted the bow August 21, topic: My new bow, so maybe you can check out that post.

You can stalk asparagus, and you can stalk celery, but stalking potatoes?

???????????????????????????????????????????
(Inspired by Euell Gibbons, beloved author of "Stalking the Wild Asparagus," and better know as the old guy on the Grape Nuts commercials who asked if you ever ate a pine tree.)
