62" Bob lee curve

This may be a dumb question.. haha


But does anyone of you guys have/shoot a 62' bob lee recurve that has a 29.5" draw?  

on the site it says a 62" bow is good for a 29" draw and I want to be sure it will work with my draw.  I know it is 1/2", but I don't want to get it and then be stuck with it..

I draw just over 29, like 29 1/4 and my 60" 45@28 (19" riser) Exotic shoots beautifully with a perfectly fine string angle at the tips.  I feel mine could easily go 30".  The 62" will be butter smooth for you I wouldn't worry one bit.  Longer even more so, but remember the longer you go the less you work the limbs so you get diminishing returns on speed.  At one time I had one of their 15" riser 56" curves and even it handled my draw just fine.

I shot one with my 29.5" DL for 10yrs before I sold it to Rusty, who has about the same DL, and now thoroughly kicks my butt with it!

A 62" will work just fine for a 29.5"DL. They just reccomend a 64" for that DL.

I've owned 5 or 6 bob lees from 54" to 64" and I draw 29.5

In fact, I've put more game on the ground with my old 58" Bob Lee Classic takedown than any other bow I owned.

I've been walking in the woods with a 60" and 64" Bob Lee Ultimate for the past couple seasons. Shoots and kills just as good if not better than the trusty old classic I had.

You'll be good to go at 62". But of course I love that 64" Ultimate. Great bow

Bob Lee 62" bows are tremendous bows.

Talk with Rob. He'll shoot straight with you. Better yet, find the time to drive down to Jacksonville, TX and shoot some of their bows. Don't believe its that far from Monroe and it would be well worth the trip. Just make sure they are going to be there when you make the trip.

I think that Bob Lee is just suggesting that over 29" you should consider a 64" bow. In that sense he is a little old school in his concept which to me is a good thing. If we wanted the best most accurate hunting bow we might be shooting 68" to 70" Olympic style bows. Most people feel there needs to be a compromise when you take to the field. Most people want a shorter more manuverable bow. How short is too short? I think that is what you are asking here. I think that 95% of the archers here would say 62" is a good compromise for your 29.5" draw and many would say 60" is fine. That being said, if I was going to spend what I think you will for a Bob Lee I would want to be sure also.

Called Bob Lee today and they said that the 62" bow would be "perfect"!  Jay, the guy i spoke with, said he has around a 30" draw and shoots a 60".  

that the recommendations didn't mean much.

With the longbow though, that's a different story!  He hasn't beat me with a longbow in a long time!  Mainly because I have been avoiding him in an attempt to still be able to say that! lol

I own a few bob lees you will be fine, gotta try the heavyweight model it shoots lights out.

My son took over my 62" Lee and draws 30.5" with no problem.
