Would Anybody Be Willing
« on: August 26, 2015, 01:50:00 PM »
To send me a 150 grain, screw in Wensel Woodsman "original" broadhead to test? I'm not asking for a new one, just something used/old, but sound, and not bent up, would be great.

I've shot the 125's, but I'd like to try one of the 150's, and finances won't allow me to spend $50.00 plus on something I don't know if I'm going to like.

I hope I'm not asking too much, or breaking any rules by doing so. Without going into details, I don't have the proverbial pot to pee in right now, and if somebody would be willing to help me out with this, I'd appreciate it more than you know. Thanks.

Bob

Bob,

I don't have any to send you to try brother.  But If you need anything else, let me know.

But its end is the way of death."  Proverbs 14:12

This site and the people here, are really something. Your generosity, and willingness to help out a fellow member, are nothing short of amazing. Thank you!

Daniel, the fact that you consider me a brother in our obsession, and your offer, mean more to me than if you did have a broadhead you'd be willing to send me. Thank you for that!

I have 3 used ones that will be fine for practice plus a half dozen unused that just need the edges touched up to be ready to hunt.  I think they are were 125 grain workout the inserts.   I added inserts and they are 150 - 160 now according to my scale.
If those will work for you just give me your address and I'll head them your way.  If they don't work for you simply pass them along to someone else.

Joe, that's an unbelievably generous offer, and it would help me out beyond measure. I don't even know what to say, other than a huge THANK YOU!!! I really appreciate it.

I'll send you a PM, and thank you again.

Tracy, I apologise. I was so blown away by Joe's offer, and I just realised that I didn't thank you. Thank you too!! I appreciate it.

When I shot 3-blades, WW's were my BH of choice. If you like them it's well worth the investment to get the full assortment of long/short aluminum and steel adapters.  You can make about any weight you need and the glue-ons are easier to find than the screw in these days.

Thank you. If I'm ever able to crawl out from under this rock that was dropped on me, I'll do that for sure.

Joe stated in his post above, at 5:06 PM on the 26th, that he had some broadheads he would be   willing to send me. My Girlfriend picked up our mail at 10:00 AM this morning, and would you believe I had a package waiting from him?

Not only was he kind enough to send me six new broadheads, and six more in nice shape, he went to the trouble to glue in the adapters, and send everything to me by priority mail. He did more for a fellow member that he's never even met, than many of my own relatives would have done for me.

Joe, you went above and beyond to help me, and my thanks aren't enough for everything you've done, but they're all I have to offer you right now. Thank you Joe, from the bottom of my heart!!! You've helped me out in a big way, and I appreciate it more than you'll ever know.

I knew as soon as I joined Trad Gang that I'd found something special, and this just reaffirms what I already knew.

Thanks again Joe!!!

I'm glad that they made it so quick Bob.  And more than happy to help out.  As I mentioned to you in my PM, I have been helped so many times in the past by so many different people around here.  This was just a small chance for me to pay those favors forward.  My guess is that someday in the future you will find a chance to do the same for someone else.
Good luck this fall, and don't forget to post pictures of your successes!

Yup! That would be an apt description of Joe's heart and behaviors!

He rather ranks up there near the top of the heap!

Kudos!
