I've been a wheel bow hunter for many years, but I started traditional archery late last season with my first traditional bow, a 60" Holm Made River Runner at 45#.
To be honest, I was a little concerned when I started because it was way more difficult than I had anticipated. I never got comfortable enough to even take my new bow out hunting..
But with our deer season only 2 weeks away and a lot of time spent practicing, I'm feeling pretty good. I shoot six arrow groups and I can pretty consistently hit six out of six kill shots on my 3D deer targets at 18 yds from my 12 foot high deck standing on a step stool.
Who knows what will happen when that first deer steps out,.. But at least I feel good about my first opening day with my tradional bow..
I have really learned a lot reading all the posts here on Trad Gang.
Thanks,
DD
