Is anyone using goose feathers and can they be dyed and how would I go about it? Thanks.

With the high oil content I doubt they will dye well.  On the other hand the grey goose feather is historically significant and hard to beat for a waterproof and quiet fletching.

Thank you Wingnut. The high oil content was my concern.

Goose feathers will wear much faster than turkey because they are softer. A goose cock feather works nice, as elk nailer used his. They are very quiet and soft. If you choose to use 3 goose feathers and shoot often that bottom feather will probably get scuffed up sooner than you'd like, but that's all visual appeal.
