Life changes.
« on: October 09, 2015, 11:43:00 PM »
Have not been out as much . Too much stuff going on Lost my job of 35 years last October  been on a new one for about 8 months less pay but way better hours and no weekend, night  or holiday work and I'm home by 5;00 each day. Have not been out calling really yet.  From last October to now I have only taken five coyotes with a bow. The year before was 19. Keep reading your stories and seeing pictures have me drooling really bad. And I will not be able to go for a while. Going back east next week ,Sons getting married .Wa hoo. He picked a really sweet girl. And When I get back There's a Trad archery shoot that I have  to go to. :smiley-innocent-halo-yellow:   And this weather been too hot. Its going to be close to three weeks before I can go. Losing that job was the best thing that happened to me. Lost 28lbs just buy living better. No coyotes yet but  there's a good crop of pomegranates this year.  I been getting ready when I do get out there.Just shot these two groups. Think this set up is minute of coyote . 18 yard shots at some fruit.  60lb @ 28 self bow  600 grn Doug fir arrows

The yotes are quivering!  Great shooting.  With the past successes you've had you obviously not only know how to hunt but how to hit em when the opportunity comes.
Losing that job probably seemed bad at the time but it sounds like it turned out to be a blessing.  Congratulations!

You put everything in perspective especially during this time of year when a lot of us measure success differently

Sounds like Whip  made a good assessment.  Changing something you did for a long time sounds,  and is,  traumatic for a time, but put into the perspective you just gave, it was for the better.

Take that change and go with it.  The yotes are out there, go get them.  Looking at your shooting (nice shots), they are in trouble.

So very glad you shared about the job... not everyone has that same outcome, but someone is looking out for you!

Kudos!

Hunting is something incredible, but when it interferes with life, then not so much.

Enjoy your East trip and blessings on your Son's nuptials!

Hey thanks guys. Life is good. We always would like more but I have enough. I herd this from some one I think it was my mother in law. There's always a reason even if we can't see it. God knows what he's doing. Hey I might put that on a bow. Tim.

Good shooting! I bet the yotes around you have been having sighs of relief wondering where you went!!!!! Sometimes things happen, and usually at some point we figure out why, and that it was for the better.

Good luck to you when do get back out, and congrats to your son and his new bride!
