Centaur Take Down owners

I have a one piece centaur triple carbon that I love.  I'd really like to have the flexibility of a take down.  I've not had my hands on his take down system.  I'm curious to hear feedback from people that have had one.  How difficult/easy is the system to assemble/disassemble?  How noticible do you find the feel of the bolts?  I have had several carbon sleeve designs that I really like so if you can compare them it would be helpful.  Lastly, would you get one again?

I was in your shoes back in the spring, but decided on the take down system. The bow fits tight. The first time I tried to taking it down was a chore. I had to contact jim for advice.  You need to put a little wax on the pins when assembling the bow. I really dont notice the bolts when I'm shooting.  The only thing I would have done different is maybe going with a 60in bow.

I have a 60" TD triple carbon elite and it is a sweet bow. The TD system takes a little longer but when it's together you there is no slipping or wondering if its lined up right. I have never felt the bolt while shooting.

Deerhunter_w, nice looking bow, wood combo is really nice. Your photos show TD system better than website. I can see the hand does not come close to a bolt head at all. Jim's bows have caught my eye a few times. Looks like they are worth waiting for.

Thanks for the feedback.  Deerhunter, it looks like in the first picture that it's not perfectly aligned at the bottom, is that the case?  You said you wished you would have gone with the 60", do you have a longer or shorter one?  I have a 60" and I really like the length for me.

I noticed that also on the lower portion of the grip.I will try to look closer this evening when I go hunting. Mine is a 58". I don't have any problems with it just would like to try a 60". I have a 27" draw length. The bow is fast and hits hard. hoping to get it bloody soon.

I have a 58" one piece, and it is one of smoothest and quietest longbows i have ever shot, it is just dead in the hand. If i wanted a takedown, i myself would go with a Javaman Elkheart, bowbolt, awesome system and no tools required, and one heck of a bow.

The elk heart is on my bucket list. I would love to try one, maybe next year. I looked at the back side of the grip all the lines are perfect. The picture of the bow are from back in the spring when I first assembled it.

I also have a 27" draw and love my 60" I would like to try a 58" sometime. I killed a doe with mine this morning shot was about 20 yards the arrow blow right through her

Never tried centaur system but I love the eaze of the toolless bowbolt design.  I wonder if centaur could use a bowbolt?

Jim's system is very solid, but I, like others have stated, prefer the ease and speed of a bow bolt system.
No tools is very nice!
It's what I have on my JavaMan Elkheart and absolutely love it.

Dewayne Jessup of Thunderhorn Archery developed and has been using that takedown system for around twenty years.  It is rock solid.  I have not heard of anybody having any problems with it.

I've always heard that this system is "bomb proof" so I guess my questions are more about the fit, feel, and look of the design.  It's difficult when you can't get your hands on one yourself really.
