Carbon Arrow Footing Question
« on: October 21, 2015, 02:11:00 PM »
Quick Question guys

What aluminum arrow shaft size is needed to foot the new GT 400's (5575).  I used 2219's in past

I can't be exactly sure, as I do not have any new GT400's but I always collect and keep an assortment of aluminum arrows on hand.

Most clubs have pales full of broken and/or lost alums. that I keep for just this reason.  A great resource when you need them!

Otherwise I would say 2117 as well.

The information that Charlie Lamb posted some time ago lists 2219 for the GT Trads 5575 but I didnt know if that changed with the recent redo of GT shafts.

Trads have the coating on the outside that adds dimension and WEIGHT... No idea on that dimension.

GT used to list ID and OD on their shaft tables on their site.

The standard black 5575's is indeed, 2117. Short chamfer on the front behind the insert and a long slow taper on the back that draws up onto your shelf material...
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!
