Bunny Busting 2015
« on: October 22, 2015, 06:43:00 PM »
Wind kept changing directions during my deer hunt so I decided to chase cotton tails instead,

Judo point on a wood arrow made quick work of this cotton tail. Got him setting in salt water as we speak.

Anyone else been rabbit hunting?

I love "bunny busting" a lot of guys think deer is the pinnacle or hunting but I have always been a small game hunter at heart.

I'll have to remember to take a pic for this thread next time I get one.

Happy Hunting

Deer offers the most meat for the hunt and is a different kind of challenge. But for a day afield I think small game hunting is the best time to be had. There's lots of action, stalking, harder shots, and some great eating.

I like to go after them in January.  Fresh snow, cold air and bunnies.   :)

Nice job! My grandmother's rose garden has been reduced to nothing but twigs so i have permission to bust up as many bunnies as i can hit!

I prefer to wait until some snow shows up. Usually right after our rifle season.
