POP UP or BUSH IN A BAG
« on: October 24, 2015, 08:14:00 AM »
I'm getting out of the trees. Not mobile enough and just too much work. I was thinking maybe a pop up like Hidden Hunter or a Ghillie type affair like Bush in a Bag. Which one? Thanks Guys

Prefer popups but if you would get one or two popups as they are heavy if you get good ones that are large enough for longbows (not short longbows haha)......and then also get your bush in a bag in case you need to be flexible.

I typically use a pop up in a couple key areas and leave them in place brushed in....then will find a clump or deadfall or cedar or something if I need to move....or that is the plan.

Get the popup...see how it works for you...and then adjust.  No hard fast rules.  I would stick with Double Bull or Hidden Hunter for blinds....none of the cheaper models hold up being left out in weather for an entire deer season here in SC (Aug-Jan) or turkey (2 months)...

For mobility and easy getting in and out I would go with the bush in a bag.

Bush in a Bag and a Huntmore in a narrow backpack is easy to carry.  Me and my wife are old fat people and we quite often hunt about a mile from the car with this set up.

Get one of each.

That way you can do what the circumstances dictate.

If only one, B in a B has more pluses for me. Pop ups sure are nice in rainy weather though.

I do prefer ground blinds natural construction at the site - with or followed by leafy type suits - but when bugs are crazy - or when it gets cold I like a double bull.
