What arrows??
« on: October 27, 2015, 09:16:00 AM »
I was given a very nice Bighorn recurve by a fellow tradganger. His generosity was unexpected and i still can't believe what I recieved. I never met him personally, but hope to change that very soon.

So the bow is a 60" recurve 56# @ 28". I will be pulling it to about 53#. @ 27" . It will have an 18 strand Fury string with two silencers. the bow is cut to center. I ran some numbers on the calculator and came up with GT Trads 400 spine cut to 29" with 150 gr point and 100 gr insert. It said it was dead on with that set up. I know I will need to shoot them and see but I just wanted some opinions before i bought any.

Just one comment. It's a lot easier to cut an inch off than to put 1/8 inch back on. I'd leave them a bit long until you can do some shooting and then trim back very gradually.

I will start with them at about 30". and work down from there.
