Had great time in the woods saw two does from my stand and feel privileged to have been able to watch them from my stand.
As my breath slowed and my thoughts quieted the wood sprang to life. Cardinals playing in the bush below, a new bug translucent crawling on the bar of the stand. The wind still and the smell of fresh rain on pine encompassing me like a cocoon. The further I withdrew from myself the more I observed. The first doe a yearling never came closer than 50 yards but that didn't matter. Tonight was more enjoyable than any other hunt with any other instrument I have had.. I came back to society renewed with promises of returning to the wood shortly. More adventures to come.
