Derivation of CheatR Knife
« on: January 24, 2007, 04:51:00 PM »
Where did the term CheatR come from in naming these knives?  It seems like a strange name for a knife. I just got a beauty of an armguard with a CheatR and sheath built in.  Sticshooter and Shell made it for me and they did outstanding work.  It is a great value too.

I believe it came about during the times of COWBOYS AND INDIANS [or native americans] .All those cowboy "card sharks" THat cheated had better have something hidden in case they get found out about so to speak: derringers, small pistols, and the cheater knife usually hidden in a boot, shirt sleeve, arm band etc etc.

Actually I think since Frank makes them out of knives that were already forged and such, he calls the CheatR Knives.  I wouldn't call it cheating, but I think that is the gist of the name.

How about it Frank??

There's nothing 'cheaty' about it Frank! You make some beautiful knives out of what would otherwise be garbage! Heck, that's how Jim Bowie got started isn't it, by cutting up old swords?

Long may you continue the great work mate!

i didn't make it but i did shoot it!a company called  Aronald Furs made the hat for me from a yote i shot. extremly warm, to warm to wear when walking but just right when sitting. i auctually gave the hat away as my friends little girl just fell in love with it. i need to go yote hunting again soon to find another hat!
