I used to read or bring an e-game along to get me thru the day. Now, if I do that, my eyes adjust to the close up, and when I look up for deer, everything else is out of focus, for a long time.
Enjoy while you can.

That looks like a good read! Don't get so enveloped that you miss the deer walking under you!!!
Good luck!

No fear of a deer walking under me in this stand. I'm only about 5 feet off the ground, with a good back round.

Same here. Can't see worth beans if I try to read anything on stand. I can't even text without having vision problems.

I have never been able to read in the stand. I simply can't pay attention to things around me when I am reading a good book.

I would need my reading glasses. I might need to start practicing with them on.

I read some in stand... Helps pass time on the long quiet sits, cause if you are not out there...well you are not there. :-)
Haven't seen the book. Isn't that a famous picture of fred bear on the cover?
Good book?

lt-m, it is a pretty good book, been a long time since I read it, so long actually it's almost like reading a new book. I need to get a new one, the pages are falling out of this one.
That is Fred Bear on the cover, a fairly popular photo, not sure if it's famous though. He also wrote the introduction for the books re-printing.
I usually wear reading glasses also, but my arms are just long enough that I don't need them in the stand, but I do have them with me.
