I really enjoyed my high school photography class back in the day. I have a Nikon 6006 Film camera, good entry level for a high schooler taking a photography class or a child wanting to learn. Ill send it to someone for their child for free since it needs a good home.

I found a roll of 24 exp in an old pocket film camera and thought best to see what was on it...cost a good bit to get throw outs processed!
I didn't even know for sure if you can still get that film processed, but Walgreen's sent it out...
That's a nice gesture on your part....

I hope you find someone with access to a dark room who can do his own processing. It is fascinating to watch the pictures develop. I tried for a year to give away my old 35mm SLR with a complete set of lenses: F1.4 50mm all the way up to a 400mm tele plus bellows macro extension. Absolutely no takers.
I finally threw it away as it was just taking up room. What a shame.

That's what I am hoping. I don't want to throw it away. I had access to a blackroom at school, and it was an absolute blast.

Sure is, and the camera had some sentimental value too since I bought it in the Canadian PX in Viet Nam.
Wife said "You haven't used that camera in 20 years. Either use it or get rid of it. I've learned who the boss is around here and wanted to keep my job

Heard that, Blade...
I built a 2x4 frame and then stapled 6mm black plastic to it and made a swell dark room... did a lot of B&W in there... when people still valued B&W as an art form...lots of commercial stuff for magazine ads back then...
The Nikon F2 with photomic head and 3 lenses sits idle...told they won't even have adapters to use with the digi cams now...
Seriously? How ignorant! :(
Tough to see what we love change so drastically it's no longer of value ...but someone could really make a "find" with the OP's offer!

My 18 year old son is a film photography junkie. Has probably a dozen 35mm SLR's and rangfinders dating back to the 50's. Has won several awards in art shows, photo contests etc. primarily B&W, so it's not quite dead yet. Won 1st in a show last year where he was the only entry that wasn't digital. Oh yeah, he shoots a vintage Wing Thunderbird too.

sorry..... as a photography major. You might contact a local college or even high school to see if they can use it. Yes there is a lot of nostalgia in old film cameras and pictures. It took me quite a while to learn to love digital, but when they are good, they are very good.
